For these experiments we often need to collect the gas so that we can test it. This method ensures that we test a relatively pure sample of the gas we create.

Limewater Test ^🔗

• Positive Result: The limewater goes cloudy (milky)
• This only occurs when carbon dioxide is bubbled through it

Sqeaky Pop Test ^🔗

• Positive Result: The gas ignites
• This only occurs for hydrogen gas

Glowing Split Test ^🔗

• Positive Results: The split re-ignites
• This only occurs for oxygen gas
